It's About Time!
It has been a while since I posted to my blog, but not much has been happening with my project pickup. Our grandkids don't live here, so we won't be seeing them for a few months. I have been doing a little work on my '05 Chevrolet pickup and a little here and there on the travel trailer. I have made some modifications to the diesel engine in the pickup that should increase the life of the engine, and provide a cooler running engine as well. The '05 diesel engine has an overheating problem when towing a trailer and running up inclines; so, I modified the air intake system that will improve flow, thereby decreasing engine temperature and hopefully increasing the fuel mileage a little bit.
Today, I re-worked the 5th wheel trailer's king-pin stabilizer stand to fit the king-pin instead of supporting the flat surface in front of the king-pin. This will provide more stability in the front part of the trailer when it is parked.
