Flashback - 50 Years Ago

I forgot that Marilyn had some photos of my first hot rod. This is my 1937 Ford that I bought in the summer of 1957. I raced it on week-ends and also used to go "cross-country" hunting rabbits in open fields. I even made a trip to Corpus Christi in it to search wrecking yards for small-block Chevrolet engines. When I entered the USAF in February 1959, I sold it to Francis. He wrecked it sometime after he got it. It had a flat-head V8 engine, (model 85), with a standard floor shift. I made MANY a trip to Hargill in it.

Until next time...
