Happy Independence Day

I got a couple of things done for the pickup project today. First I reassembled the console after a couple of coats of spar urethane, then installed it in the cab. I needed it installed because I'm trying to fabricate the rear wall boards, (behind each seat and under the rear window). The console will split the rear wall, and the ends will be connected to the "corner covers". The corner covers will cover up the blank area behind the door jam, and will be a perfect place for a 6 X 9 speaker on each side, (plus the two speakers in the kick panel on each side).

I also got new tires and tubes mounted on the scooter. With the scooter running real good now, I decided that I needed to replace the weather-cracked tires. I found them on the Internet and ordered them. They arrived just two days after ordering them.

The Valley has been getting some rain, Mother got about 1.5" and there was more coming. We have had some spotty showers in Central Texas for the past few days, but not much here. We got about 1/4" overnight on Sunday. We have a slight chance of rain in the forecast for the next few days, so we'll keep our fingers crossed, :).

Until next time...
