Project Pickup Progress
This has been a busy week-end. I got the pickup bed put back together again and then re-installed on the pickup frame on Friday. I got all the bolts tightened up on Saturday morning, then started creating a center console template out of cardboard. On Sunday, I finished up the template; but I can't really visualize how it will look when finished. My plan is to have it run from the back wall of the cab to the firewall. I'll have an armrest with storage underneath it, two cup holders in front of that, then the shifter and emergency hand brake next to the shifter. The power window controls will be next to the shifter, and the radio and A/C controls will be in front of the shifter & handbrake. I plan to build it out MDF, (using the template as a guide), and it will be covered with the same upholstery that we use for the seats.Charlie is coming over Friday to spend most of the day working with me on the pickup. Maybe we can knock out several things on the "to do" list.
