Full Week-end - April 27

On Friday, Charlie and I went to the Pate Swap Meet at the Texas Motor Speedway north of Ft. Worth. We walked most of the booth pathways in the 4 1/2 hours that we were there. The only thing that I found to buy was a corn-dog at noon. Charlie found a couple of Model A parts that he needed. We took Marilyn's Malibu and got 32.3 mpg for the trip, (we had a southerly tailwind on the way up there, and a norther's wind behind us coming home).

Saturday, I got some work done on the license plate bracket for the trailer, then finished the day with the mowing and trimming for the yard.

It was raining for most of Sunday, so I worked in the shop getting some things done for the truck. I'm going to have a dash insert run the width of the dash area, doing away with the glove box door. Charlie made up a small piece of sheet metal to cover the lower portion of the glove box opening and I got it welded in and touched up today. I then got some work done on the seat bolt supports under the cab. The photo shows the patch panel for the glove box opening.
Until next time...
