Long Labor Day Weekend
With one more day of vacation to take before August 31, I'm taking off tomorrow, will have my normal day off on Friday, and then be off on Monday for Labor Day, (that's a 5-day weekend folks). Marilyn has suggested that we re-paint the front bedroom, so that is our weekend project.I asked Charlie to come over and help me configure the pickup exhaust system, so I can order the right kit and mufflers. My plan is to order a "universal" kit, (aluminized 2.5" pipe), that I will go ahead and install before I put the body on. While the body is still in the Valley, I'm going to install the exhaust system, then install the bed. With the bed on, I can try to figure out the rear roll pan location, (in lieu of a rear bumper). I bought a frame-mounted stainless steel battery box that I will install after the bed is installed. I plan to put it on the passenger side outside frame rail near the front of the bed. I also need to install the brake lines, then just wait on the body work to be finished.

Enjoy your loooong weekend..I am actually taking all 3 of my days off for the 1st time since returning from Mexico..send us a photo, before/after, of the bedroom!
