Denver Trip, Day 2

We left the KOA in Salina, KS around 7:15AM on Thursday and were immediately met with some strong head winds heading west on IH-70. We only had about 430 miles to go, but I knew it wasn't going to be an easy drive. The head winds were causing the rig to move around a little and it took my full attention. We stopped in Goodland, KS for fuel and lunch, then headed on into Colorado. We arrived at Cherry Creek State Park around 2:30. Teri met us there and I got the trailer set up, then we left to meet Kelli, Dan, and Brynn for supper. Brynn has really "grown up" since we last saw her Thanksgiving. After stopping by Kelli & Dan's apartment, we headed back to the park for some sleep. Tomorrow we are going to Boulder for Austin's graduation ceremony.

I took the photo shown above at the TGIF restaurant while Brynn was playing with the Etcha-Sketch.

Until next time...
